TWILIGHT fever

TWILIGHT fever seems to have taken hold in recent weeks and New Moon has finally been released.New Moon is the second installment in the Twilight saga and needs little introduction to fans.Twilight was Edward's film, the audience fell in love with the perfect gentleman who swept Bella off her feet and was the perfect mix of mystery and knight in shining armour. But in New Moon Jacob gets a chance to shine. There's been lots of comments about Taylor Lautner's new physique and how he seems to have his shirt off at every opportunity but I thought his acting was good, better than I maybe expected, and he is more than just something pretty to look at. He also had really good chemistry with Bella.Of course for many Twilight fans it's all about Edward and the film benefitted from a change of pace when the action moved to Italy. Robert Pattison continued to play the tortured vampire well and his part in the finale made you forgive his absence for most of the film. Some parts of the film seemed rushed and I missed all the build up of Bella and Jacob's relationship that was done well in the book, but with so much to fit in, the film was never going to perfectly reflect the novel. But I liked how faithful to the storyline it tried to be. The dark aspect of the book was done well and Kristen Stewart is the perfect Bella.I'm not sure non-fans would get the film and even people who liked Twilight might not be impressed with New Moon. Some scenes might seem a bit disjointed and even slow but if you've read the book then you're probably going to love the film.

Anticipation in the Post office, where two of us are Twilight obsessed, was high last week. Both fans of the series and, having read all the books, what began with regular emails about plot twists and turns has now turned into full blown obsession. The main argument, and a key part of the second installment, is whose side are you on - Team Edward or Team Jacob? And here is where the Post team are split. But which of Bella's boys - vampire or werewolf - do you side with?

Hannah is Team Jacob. He is warm, not ghostly pale and his six pack is amazing. Go Team Jacob! Taylor Lautner may only be 17 but he's man enough to play Jacob Black and Robert Pattison needs to watch his back - Taylor may take his Twilight crown. I'm so glad he has a major role in the next two books and think his acting will soon outshine his torso, I'm already counting the sleeps until Eclipse is out!Remember, real men don't sparkle and incase anyone needed another reason to be Team Jacob, John and Edward always seem to have a slight Cullen-family look about them.....

Charlotte is Team Edward. Its Team Edward all the way for me, I have totally being swept off my feet by a 107-year -old blood sucker. From his first appearance in Twilight, Robert Pattison has captured the hearts of thousands of fans, and girls......... he doesn't disappoint in New Moon. After reading all the books I was worried that Edward wouldn't be in the second Twilight saga as much the first, as in the book he really is just a voice in Bella's head. However, I was driven wild by the way they captured him in Bella's dreams and thoughts, he looked sexier then ever! Long live the Twilight Tornado and long live the vampires! If you haven't seen it yet definitely set a date in your diary!!!
